For the Rub
1 tbsp black pepper
1.5 tsp onion powder
1.5 tsp chili powder
1.5 tsp garlic powder
1.5 tsp seasoned salt
Mix in a small bowl. Pat dry 2 dozen wings and place in a large resealable bag. Pour in dry rub and shake to coat. Marinate for 30 minutes or up to 24 hours in refrigerator.
For the Sauce
½ cup maple syrup or honey
¼ BBQ sauce
2 tbsp orange juice
A few dashes of hot sauce
While wings are cooking, place all ingredients into a saucepan and heat through.
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425.
- Spread wings out on a sheet tray not touching.
- Cook for 35 minutes turning once in between.
- Turn oven off, pour sauce over wings and toss to coat evenly.
- Place back on sheet pan and cook for 15 more minutes.
- Serve immediately.
