For the Rub

1 tbsp black pepper
1.5 tsp onion powder
1.5 tsp chili powder
1.5 tsp garlic powder
1.5 tsp seasoned salt

Mix in a small bowl. Pat dry 2 dozen wings and place in a large resealable bag. Pour in dry rub and shake to coat. Marinate for 30 minutes or up to 24 hours in refrigerator.

For the Sauce

½ cup maple syrup or honey
¼ BBQ sauce
2 tbsp orange juice
A few dashes of hot sauce

While wings are cooking, place all ingredients into a saucepan and heat through.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425.
  2. Spread wings out on a sheet tray not touching.
  3. Cook for 35 minutes turning once in between.
  4. Turn oven off, pour sauce over wings and toss to coat evenly.
  5. Place back on sheet pan and cook for 15 more minutes.
  6. Serve immediately.
